Over groot melkhuis

Groot melkhuis is an iconic location in the heart of the most famous park of amsterdam where young and old blends together. sharing a refreshing drink on our (often sunny) terrace at the water, while the kids have their best time at our outside playground? Groot melkhuis is the place where park visitors like to gather for lunch, diner, social drinks or a quick break. 

some of the things you will be doing as our lunch chef: 

– daily preparation of our lunch soups, sandwiches and hamburgers, as well as the snacks throughout the day

– inspire and lead the team when the diner chef is not present 

– think along and help develop our menu and dishes we serve

– being responsible for acting according to the HACCP – and allergen regulations, arbo and safety

this is you: 

– you strive to get 100 percent out of every day, yourself and your colleagues

– you feel responsible, are flexible, a true team player with strong communicative skills 

– you’ve got min. 2 years of experience in a similar job

– ideally you’ve been working in catering before (nice to have, no must!)

– you’ve got a social hygiene certificate (or are willing to follow the course)
