Spring is in the air, and at Groot Melkhuis that means one thing: the terrace is open again! In the middle of Vondelpark you’ll find our largest terrace in the park with always enough seating. Whether you’re coming for a sunny lunch, drinks with friends or just a good cup of coffee in the greenery.

Spread around the entire restaurant you’ll find spacious tables, lounge areas by the water and nice shady spots. Take a seat, order something delicious, and let spring arrive.

Groot Melkhuis is for everyone. While you enjoy a drink in the sun, the kids can have fun in the large playground. Prefer a game of pétanque with friends? Our own pétanque court is invitingly ready – balls available to borrow at the bar.
In short: the sun is shining, jacket off, drink in hand. Groot Melkhuis is your regular stop in Vondelpark as soon as spring begins.
